South Florida remains in the clear as the Atlantic hurricane season continues. The National Hurricane Center reports no storms currently forecast to make landfall in Florida, but conditions offshore are active.

Hurricane Gabrielle Remains Far Away

Hurricane Gabrielle is tracking northeast in the open Atlantic toward the Azores and Europe.

• Impact on Florida: None expected.

• Indirect effects: Large ocean swells are producing strong rip currents along Palm Beach County beaches. Swimmers should use guarded beaches and monitor local surf advisories.

Tropical Storm Humberto Strengthening at Sea

Tropical Storm Humberto formed east-northeast of the Leeward Islands and is expected to remain over open waters. Forecast models show no path toward Florida.

Two Atlantic Disturbances to Monitor

Forecasters are watching Invest 93L and 94L in the western Atlantic. While some models show a slow westward drift, no immediate threat to South Florida is predicted.
