What’s Coming to the Kravis Center This Fall: Broadway, Concerts, Comedy and Free Events

From National Dance Day and a free community block party to Broadway favorites, Buddy Guy, Wynonna Judd and immersive dance performances, the Kravis Center has a packed fall season ahead in West Palm Beach.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is heading into fall with a calendar that stretches far beyond traditional theater.

Over the next several months, audiences can choose from Broadway productions, live music, comedy, dance, family programming and several opportunities to experience the Kravis Center for free.

The season gets underway with National Dance Day on September 19, a free community event welcoming dancers of every age and experience level. October then brings everything from comedy and live theater to Buddy Guy and the return of Dirty Dancing, followed by an especially busy November lineup.

Here are some of the biggest upcoming dates to know.

September

National Dance Day

Saturday, September 19 | 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

The Kravis Center serves as an official host of National Dance Day with a free afternoon of movement, classes and community activities. Workshops include styles such as hip-hop, jazz funk and ballroom inspired by Dirty Dancing, with activities designed for a range of ages and ability levels.

Admission is free, although registration is required. Parking in the Kravis Center garage is also free for the event.

October

Killers of Kill Tony

Saturday, October 3 | 7 p.m.

The comedy lineup kicks off in Dreyfoos Hall with Killers of Kill Tony, bringing stand-up comedy to one of the Kravis Center’s largest stages. Tickets are available directly through the Kravis Center.

Where Did We Sit on the Bus?

Friday, October 9 | 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 10 | 2 p.m.

Part of the PEAK Series, this one-person theatrical production follows a child of immigrants navigating questions of identity, history and belonging. The performance blends live music, Latin rhythms, hip-hop and spoken-word storytelling.

Tickets start at $40.25.

Nurse John: Against Medical Advice Tour

Saturday, October 10 | 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Social-media personality and comedian Nurse John brings his healthcare-inspired comedy to Dreyfoos Hall for two performances.

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band

Wednesday, October 14 | 7:30 p.m.

One of the season’s free performances brings the United States Marine Band to Dreyfoos Hall.

The performance is free, offering another opportunity to experience the Kravis Center without purchasing a traditional show ticket.

Kravis Center Block Party

Saturday, October 17 | Noon–8 p.m.

One of the biggest free events of the fall returns for its fourth year.

The Kravis Center campus will host performances from organizations including Ballet Palm Beach, Palm Beach Opera, Palm Beach Symphony and Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, along with live bands, DJs, dance workshops, food trucks and interactive activities.

The event is free, but guests can RSVP in advance through the Kravis Center.

Unity, Love and Brotherhood: A Choral Celebration for America 250!

Sunday, October 18 | 4 p.m.

Ebony Chorale of the Palm Beaches presents a special choral program recognizing America’s 250th anniversary in Dreyfoos Hall.

Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band

Thursday, October 22 | 7:30 p.m.

Jazz vocalist Julia Keefe leads an Indigenous big band as part of the Kravis Center’s PEAK Series. The performance is among several new fall additions designed to bring a broader range of contemporary music and cultural programming to the Kravis Center.

Buddy Guy 90

Saturday, October 24 | 7:30 p.m.

Nine-time Grammy Award-winning blues guitarist Buddy Guy brings his 90 Tour to West Palm Beach.

The performance gives South Florida audiences an opportunity to see one of the most influential guitarists in blues history live at Dreyfoos Hall.

Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue

Sunday, October 25 | 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Fans of The Golden Girls can return to the world of Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia in an adults-only stage comedy inspired by the television series.

The production contains adult material and is restricted to audiences 18 and older.

Dirty Dancing: The Musical

October 28–November 1

One of the biggest productions opening the Kravis On Broadway season brings Baby, Johnny and Kellerman’s Resort back to the stage.

The new production combines the familiar story with live music and choreography inspired by the hit film.

Families have another option the same evening with TheaterWorksUSA’s musical adaptation of The Magic School Bus.

The sensory-inclusive performance follows Ms. Frizzle and her class on an unexpected journey through space.

November

Sophisticated Lady: The Songs of Natalie Cole

Wednesday, November 4 | 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Singer Nita Whitaker celebrates the music of Natalie Cole as part of the Kravis Center’s Adults at Leisure Series.

The program launches a six-show season featuring music associated with artists and eras ranging from Motown and Sinatra to Broadway and classic rock.

Matt Fraser: America’s Top Psychic Medium

Saturday, November 7 | 7:30 p.m.

Celebrity medium Matt Fraser brings his live stage show to Dreyfoos Hall.

Rennie Harris Puremovement American Street Dance Theater

Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8

The PEAK Series continues with Rennie Harris Puremovement, a company built around the traditions and evolution of street dance.

The performances blend hip-hop dance culture with theatrical storytelling and contemporary choreography.

America 250 in Concert

Sunday, November 8 | 3 p.m.

The Kravis Center and Palm Beach Symphony present a special America 250 concert hosted by actor George Hamilton and featuring Broadway performer Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Wynonna Judd — The Hard Truth Tour

Monday, November 9 | 7 p.m.

Country music star Wynonna Judd brings The Hard Truth Tour to Dreyfoos Hall.

Sons of Town Hall

Tuesday, November 10 | 7:30 p.m.

The transatlantic folk duo Sons of Town Hall brings an unusual combination of live music, storytelling and theatrical performance to the Rinker Playhouse.

Their stage presentation imagines the performers as 19th-century travelers navigating the world together through music and storytelling.

Monty Python’s Spamalot

November 10–15

The Broadway season continues with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy inspired by Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

The production brings the absurd humor, music and medieval misadventures of Monty Python to Dreyfoos Hall for six days.

MOMIX: Botanica

Wednesday, November 18 | 7:30 p.m.

Dance company MOMIX transforms the stage into a surreal interpretation of the natural world in Botanica.

The production combines athletic movement with projections, props, puppetry and music, creating imagery inspired by plants, seasons and the rhythms of nature.

Bia Ferreira

Friday, November 20

Brazilian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bia Ferreira brings her mix of Latin American music and contemporary performance to the Kravis Center as part of the PEAK Series.

The Bodyguard

November 27–29

The Broadway musical adaptation of the 1992 film arrives Thanksgiving weekend.

The production follows superstar Rachel Marron and the former Secret Service agent hired to protect her, with a score built around songs associated with Whitney Houston, including I Wanna Dance with Somebody and I Will Always Love You.

Emma Nissen

Sunday, November 29 | 6:30 p.m.

Jazz-gospel vocalist Emma Nissen closes out the month in the Rinker Playhouse with a performance combining jazz, soul and gospel influences.

The Center specifically advises guests to purchase through its official channels rather than third-party ticket brokers, where prices can be considerably higher and customer-service protections may not apply.

Broadway subscriptions are also available for the eight-show Kravis On Broadway season, with subscriptions currently starting at $364.
